abstract = "O termo Fus{\~a}o de Dados (Data Fusion) tem obtido cada vez mais
destaque na literatura internacional de sensoriamento remoto.
Entretanto, no Brasil o conceito {\'e} raramente empregado e
quando utilizado {\'e} confundido com a chamada fus{\~a}o de
resolu{\c{c}}{\~o}es espaciais tratada na literatura
internacional como Resolution Merge ou Pan-sharpening. O presente
artigo visa impulsionar o uso do termo Fus{\~a}o de Dados no
Brasil e traz como estudo de caso uma pesquisa realizada pelo
Instituto de Estudos Avan{\c{c}}ados da For{\c{c}}a A{\'e}rea
Brasileira. Tal estudo foi premiado no maior concurso
internacional de sensoriamento remoto, o Data Fusion Contest no
ano de 2017. O concurso {\'e} realizado anualmente pela IEEE
Geoscience Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) e em 2017 contou com a
participa{\c{c}}{\~a}o de pesquisadores de cinquenta
pa{\'{\i}}ses. ABSTRACT: The term Data Fusion is widely used in
the international literature of remote sensing. However, in Brazil
the concept is rarely employed and when used it is confused with
the fusion of spatial resolutions called in the international
literature as Resolution Merge or Pan-sharpening. This paper aims
to boost the use of the term Data Fusion in Brazil and brings as a
case study a research conducted by Institute of Advanced Studies
of the Brazilian Air Force that was awarded in the international
competition, the Data Fusion Contest in the year of 2017. The
competition is performed annually by the IEEE Geoscience Remote
Sensing Society (GRSS) and in 2017 was attended by researchers
from fifty countries.",
